Hello Shadow Ridge Parents and Guardians!!!!

Here are the announcements for the week of January the 16^th

Message from Principal Wickham:

Parents/Guardians,

We need your assistance in order to keep ALL of our students safe, as they unload and load to/from school.  During the cold, blustery winter months we need all parents to use the north concrete lot.  We need ALL vehicles in the north lot to park in the parking spaces, not in the "RED Fire Lane"...which needs to be accessed by emergency personnel in the case of an emergency.  Upon arrival in to the north parking lot, we need EACH INDIVIDUAL vehicle to park in an individual vehicle space.  Communicate with your child prior to your parking (for example the night before or weekend before school).  Between the driver and the student, I am confident you will find each other.  Communication with your student and parking in the north parking lot parking space, will allow more cars to park in the lot, easier access in families finding each other, and a safer environment for all.  Cars have been backed up for hundreds of feet on north Holly Street due to cars parking in the RED Fire Lane and not parking in the individual parking spaces.

No School Monday, January 16^th Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday

The next Shadow Ridge Community Night will be held on Tuesday, January 17th, from 5:30 to 6:30 in the media center. The art, drama, foreign language, music, PE and health, and tech ed departments will be showcased at this event, and there will be free babysitting.

Attention Parents!  Please join the PE department at community night this Tuesday the 17th from 5:30-6:30 for some fun and games!  Come see and participate in the variety of activities your student is involved in while in Physical Education class.  Can you hit a bullseye in archery?  Can you juggle a takraw ball?  How many basketball shots can you make in 30 seconds.  Come on in and find out!!

Parents, your student received their progress grades for Quarter 2/Semester 1 on Friday, January 13th.  Please check with them if you have not seen.  If your student was absent on Friday they will need to check with their Science teacher for progress when they return to school.  Please remember, grades are also on the Parent Portal.

Hola Padres de Familia y Tutores de Shadow Ridge!!!!

Estas son las noticias de la semana del 16 de enero.  

Mensaje de la Directora Wickham:

Padres de Familia y/o Tutores,

Debido a que los carros se estacionan en la linea roja de emergencia hemos tenido carros hacienda fila para entrar a el estacionamiento de la escuela obstuyendo el paso por la calle Holly necesitamos su ayuda para proteger a TODOS nuestros estudiantes, cuando se bajan o se suben a los carros a la hora de entrada o salida de la escuela.  Durante el frío invierno necesitamos que todos los padres utilizen el lote norte de concreto. Necesitamos que TODOS los vehículos en el estacionamiento norte se estacionen en los espacios correspondientes, y no en el “carril de la linea roja” ...el cual necesita estar despejado en caso de emergencia.  Al llegar al estacionamiento norte, necesitamos que CADA vehículo se estacione en un estacionamiento y no se estacione en el carril de la linea roja. Comuniquese con su estudiante donde se va a estacionar (por ejemplo la noche anterior o el fin de semana) al ponerse de acuerdo el conductor y el estudiante, estoy segura que se encontraran uno al otro.   La comunicación con el estudiante y estacionarse en el estacionamiento norte nos permitirá fácil acceso al estacionamiento y que las familias se encuentren rapidamente y así poder tener un entorno más seguro. GRACIAS por apoyarnos para que Shadow Ridge sea una escuela segura!

No habra clases el lunes, enero 16 dia festivo Martin Luther King, Jr.

La próxima noche de comunidad será el martes 17 de enero de 5:30 a 6:30 pm en la biblioteca.  Los departamentos de Art, Drama, Español, Musica, Educación Física y Salud y Educación Tecnológica harán la presentación.  Tendremos servicio gratis para el cuidado de los niños.

Atención Padres de Familia!  Por favor únase al departamento de PE la noche de la comunidad este martes 17 de 5:30-6:30 para divertirnos y jugar! Venga y participe en una variedad de actividades que su estudiante practica mientras asistan a la clase de Educación Física. Puede usted usar el arco? Puede usted pegarle al centro del tiro?  Puede usted hacer malabares con una pelota de takraw? Cuántos tiros de baloncesto puede hacer en 30 segundos? Venga y averigue!!!

Padres de Familia, su estudiante recibió las calificaciones de progreso para el segundo cuatrimestre/semestre 1, el viernes 13 de Enero. Por favor consulte con ellos si no las has visto. Si su estudiante estuvo ausente el viernes debe de ir con su maestro de Ciencias para recibira las calificaciones de progreso. Recuerde que las calificaciones se encuentren publicadas en el Portal de Padres.
