Hello Shadow Ridge Parents and Guardians!
Here are the announcements for the week of September 15th

Tuesday, September 16th, is our first Shadow Ridge Community Night for this year. You are invited to join us in the library as we talk about our School Improvement Plan, and technology and library resources available at Shadow Ridge. We will also answer any Standards Based Grading questions parents might have. Community Night takes place in the library and is from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Free babysitting will be available.

8th grade parent volunteers are needed to help with the 8th grade Finance Park Field trip on September 29th and 30th. If you are interested in in helping us out, contact your student's Social Studies teacher Mr. Smith or Mr. Reese.

Wednesday, October 1st is the official count day for funding. Please make sure your student is in school on Wednesday. If a student has an appointment, please have the student attend at least half of the day. Call regarding any questions. Thank you for supporting our school and having your child at SRMS on Wednesday, October 1st for the count day! Go Rams!!! Miss Wickham

RAMS RECOVERY TIME – Help us help your child and improve his/her achievement. Teachers will be available the first, second, and third Wednesday of the month from 2:20-3:00 p.m. in individual classrooms for assessment make-ups and help. Transportation will not be provided. Students will need to make transportation arrangements with their parents/guardians.

The Adams County Student Survey will be given to all 6th-12th grade students in Adams County Districts 12 between October and November of 2014. Results from the survey will help schools to create and sustain safe, respectful, and drug-free school environments and to promote positive social skills; and to help ACYI improve services provided to youth. Your child/children will be asked to answer questions about his or her experiences with bullying, gangs, drug/alcohol exposure, physical activity, mental health, adult support, and goals for their future. Some children might find these questions to be uncomfortable. Your child may choose not to answer any question (or the whole survey) at any time. The survey is completely anonymous. Your child will not be identified in any way. The survey will be conducted by the Adams County Youth Initiative (ACYI). You may view the survey online at www.acyi.org. If you would like a paper copy of the survey, please request it using the contact information below. A letter with this information will be sent home via email.

Estos son los anuncios para la semana del 15 de septiembre:

El martes, 16 de septiembre, es nuestro primer noche de comunidad para este año escolar. Usted está invitado a la junta en la biblioteca donde hablaremos de nuestro plan de mejoramiento escolar, los recursos de la biblioteca y la tecnológia disponible. También vamos a responder a cualquier pregunta sobre las calificaciónes basadas en las normas. Se lleva a cabo en la biblioteca a las 5:30-6:30pm. Cuidado de niños estará disponible gratis.

Se necesitan padres de ser voluntarios para ayudar con el excursión del octavo grado al Finance Park el 29 y 30 de septiembre. Si usted está interesado en ayudarnos, pongase en contacto con los maestros de estudios sociales, el Sr. Smith o el Sr. Reese.

El miércoles, 01 de octubre es el día oficial de la cuenta para la financiación. Por favor, asegúrese de que su estudiante está en la escuela el primero de octubre. Si el estudiante tiene una cita, que el estudiante asista al menos la mitad del día escolar. Llame respecto a cualquier pregunta. Tenemos un programa nombrado RAMS RECOVERY TIME. Ayúdanos ayudar a los estudiantes a mejorar su rendimiento académico. La Encuesta de Estudiantes del Condado de Adams se le dará a todos los estudiantes de grados sexto al duodécimo en los Distritos del Condado de Adams 12 entre octubre y noviembre de 2014.
