Here are the announcements for the week of May 20th

Parents,
We will be hosting the grade level award assemblies the following days...

8th grade-Monday, May 20th at 8: 40 a.m.
6th grade-Thursday, May 23rd at 8:40 a.m.
7th grade-Thursday, May 23rd at 10:30 a.m.

If your student is receiving a special award, teachers will be in contact with you.

SuperStars will be on the last day of school Wednesday, May 22nd. SuperStars is a year-end celebration for only 8th graders. The event will be located at SRMS and lunch will be provided for all students. Students will need to bring a water bottle and sunscreen since multiple events will be outside. SuperStars is a team competition similar to Field Day. However, SuperStars includes different events like a video game competition, a food eating competition, and trivia, along with three PE events. Teams of 10 will compete against one another for a trophy and the pride to say they are the SuperStars champions of Shadow Ridge!

7th grade students who are interested in going to Washington DC next year and missed the meeting, please see Mr. Shock in A106 to get more information about how to sign up for the trip.


Ram Time is officially over for the year. Students will need to make appointments with individual teachers if they need to come in before school. Students will be allowed to go to the Morning Cafe in the cafeteria at 8.


Transitioning Student Fees: All transitioning students in grades 5, 8 and 12 must have all of their balances paid before moving into the next level of school.

All Student Fees: All student fees are due and any outstanding fees should be paid in full by the end of the school year.

We encourage you to make payments online by using www.PayForIt.net. or you may pay the school directly (cash, check, credit card) or even send payment to Adams 12 Accounts Receivable at 1500 E 128th Ave., Thornton, CO 80241.

For any checks being sent, checks must have a preprinted address, telephone number, student name and ID number.

Wednesday May 22nd is the last day of school for 8th grade and no School for 6th and 7th grade. Thursday May 23rd is the last day of school for 6th and 7th grade.

La celebracion de premios sera por nivel de grado los siguientes días...

Superestrellas será el miércoles 22 de mayo, último día de escuela para los alumnos de octavo grado. Superestrellas es una celebración de fin de año sólo para el 8 º grado. El evento será en SRMS y se proporcionará el almuerzo para todos los estudiantes. Los estudiantes necesitan traer una botella de agua y protector solar puesto que la mayoría de los eventos serán fuera. Superestrellas es una competencia de equipos similar al día de campo. Sin embargo, las Superestrellas incluye diferentes eventos como un concurso de videojuegos, concurso de comer alimentos y trivia, junto con tres eventos de PE. Equipos de 10 competirán uno contra el otro por un trofeo y el orgullo de decir que son los campeones de las superestrellas de Shadow Ridge.


Estudiantes de séptimo grado interesados en ir a Washington DC el próximo año y que no pudieron asistir a la junta informativa, pasen al salón de Mr. Shock, A106 para recibir la información acerca del viaje y como registrarse.

La cuotas de transición de los estudiantes: Todos los estudiantes en transición de los grados 5, 8 y 12 deben tener todos sus saldos pagados antes de pasar al siguiente grado escolar.

Here are the announcements for the week of May 13th

Congratulations to the winner of the S Factor, the three finalists, and the other participants for being involved in the Shadow Ridge Middle School spirit! We welcome back any students who tried out this year and others next year in this exciting event! A huge thank you to the honor choir for singing at the staff versus student basketball game, 8th grade boys and girls basketball team members who almost beat the staff, the Rams Mascot, and the staff for their participation in the students versus staff basketball game! We welcome the RAMS SPIRIT! GO RAMS!

Muchas gracias al coro de honor por cantar en el juego de baloncesto “maestros contra estudiantes” a los estudiantes de 8th grado que casi vencieron a los maestros, a la mascota de RAMS y el personal por su participación durante el juego de baloncesto. ¡Damos la bienvenida al espíritu de RAMS! ¡VAMOS RAMS!

The last day for Ram Time will be Friday, May 10th. After that date, students will not be allowed into the library before or after school for work time. They may make appointments with individual teachers for help, as needed.


Parents: Shadow Ridge Middle School participates in the programs "Box Tops for Education". Many of the food and household items that families purchase have these coupons or emblems on the sides of boxes or wrappers of the item. Please send any of these box tops to SRMS with your student. There is a turn in box in the main office. All of these items turned in mean dollars for SRMS. Thanks for your participation!

Familia: Shadow Ridge Middle School participa en el programa “Box Tops para la educación”. Muchos de los artículos de comida y hogar que las familias compran tienen estos cupones o emblemas a los lados de las cajas o en las envolturas de los productos. En la oficina principal hay un lugar donde puede depositar cada uno de los cupones o emblemas. Estos cupones se convierten en dinero para SRMS.
