Hello Shadow Ridge Parents and Guardians!!!!
Here are the announcements for the week of January 21th
Parents/Guardians,
We need your assistance in order to keep ALL of our students safe, as they unload and load to/from school. The North lot is designated as the parent drop off and pick up lot at Shadow Ridge, the south lot is designated as the transportation (buses transporting students) and staff lot. We need ALL parent vehicles to use the north lot and use the parking spaces, not in the "RED Fire Lane"...which needs to be accessed by emergency personnel in the case of an emergency. Cars have been backed up for hundreds of feet on north Holly Street due to cars parking in the RED Fire Lane. Please help us keep EVERY student safe by parking in the north lot and in the individual parking spaces!

Parents, by now, your student should have turned in their Science Fair contract /topic. The next step in the process is the Variables and Purpose. These should be completed and turned in to their science teacher no later than Wednesday, January 23th. As always, thank you for your support of our fantastic science fair!
Shadow Ridge Science Teachers
The National Junior Honor Society at Shadow Ridge Middle School will start its annual Pennies for Patients fundraiser this Monday, January 21st and run through Friday, February 1st. Students are encouraged to bring in loose change to their advisory class and help support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The advisory class that raises the most will earn a lunch from Olive Garden. Please help us support this worthy cause and reach our goal of raising $2,500.
All friends, family and supporters of the Shadow Ridge Middle School are invited to participate in their fundraiser event on Tuesday ,January 29, 2019. Everyone is invited to gather at the Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern in Orchard Town Center (14613 Orchard Pkwy.) for lunch, dinner, or a snack. On this day, 15% of your bill* accompanied by the certificate below will be donated to Shadow ridge Middle School. (Advisory teachers will be handing out fliers to the students)
Attention Shadow Ridge students. The 6th annual Dodgeball Tournament is quickly approaching. The Dodge Bowl is a tournament style event where teams will compete to be titled the best dodge ballers. There will be an informational meeting next Tuesday January 22nd right after school in the large gym where you will get all information regarding the event as well as a required liability form that must be filled out to participate. If you are unable to attend, speak to one of the PE teachers to get the information and forms. This is a free event and welcome parents and guardians to come and watch the fun!

Padres de Familia/Tutores
Necesitamos su ayuda para proteger a todos nuestros estudiantes, a la hora que los dejan y también cuando los recogen de la escuela. El estacionamiento norte de Shadow Ridge Middle está designado para que los padres lo use para dejar y recoger estudiantes. El estacionamiento sur está designado para los camiones del transporte escolar asi como tambien es el estacionamiento para el personal de la escuela. Necesitamos que TODOS los vehículos de los padres de familia utilizan el estacionamiento norte y se estacionen en los espacios correspondientes y no en el “carril de la línea roja” el cual necesita estar despejado para casos de emergencia. No se estacione en el “carril de la línea roja” porque se hace un congestionamiento de carros hasta la calle Holly. GRACIAS por su apoyo para que Shadow Ridge sea una escuela segura! Padres de familia, hasta ahora, su estudiante debió haber entregado el contrato / tema de la Feria de Ciencias. El siguiente paso en el proceso es las Variables y el propósito. Estos deben ser completados y entregados a su profesor de Ciencias no más tarde del miércoles, 23 de enero. ¡Como siempre, gracias por su fantástico apoyo a nuestra feria de ciencia!

The National Junior Honor Society en Shadow Ridge Middle School comenzará con el evento Pennies for Patients para recaudar fondos anuales este lunes, 21 de enero hasta el viernes, 1ero de febrero. Los estudiantes pueden traer dinero a su clase de advisory para apoyar y ayuda a la sociedad de la leucemia y linfoma. La clase de advisory que recaude más dinero, ganará un almuerzo de Olive Garden. Por favor ayudarnos a apoyar esta noble causa y llegar a nuestra meta de recaudar $2.500.
Todos los amigos, familiares y simpatizantes de Shadow Ridge Middle School están invitados a participar en su evento de recaudación de fondos en martes, 29 de enero de 2019. Todos están invitados a reunirse en Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern en Orchard Town (14613 Orchard Pkwy) para comer el almuerzo, cena o un snack. Este día, se donará a Shadow Ridge Middle el 15% de su facture acompañado por un volante que los maestros de advisory repartirán a los estudiantes )
Atención estudiantes de Shadow Ridge. La fecha para el 6to torneo annual Dodge Bowl se está acercando. El Dodge Bowl es un evento de estilo donde los equipos competirán para ser titulado los mejores dodge ballers. Habrá una reunión informativa el próximo martes 22 de enero después de la escuela en el gimnasio donde obtendrá toda la información sobre el evento, así como un formulario de responsabilidad que se debe llenarse para participar. Si no puede asistir, hable con uno de los profesores del PE para obtener la información y las formas. Este es un evento gratuito y los padres de familia están bienvenidos a disfrutar la diversión!
