Week of May 11th

Hello Shadow Ridge Parents and Guardians!
Here are the announcements for the week of May 11th:

All math books issued to 7th and 8th graders are now due back to the math teacher. Please remind your student to return his/her math books as soon as possible. Lost or damage books will be a fine of $80. If you have any questions, please talk with your student's math teacher.

All library books are now due back to the library. Please remind your student to return his/her library books as soon as possible.

Shadow Ridge Book Fair is Monday May 11th, Tuesday May 12th and Wednesday May 13th, in the library. This is a buy one, get one free book fair. The book fair will be open from 8:30 am until 4:00 PM. Come in and find some new books to read for the summer.

7th and 8th grade Jazz bands are having a concert on Monday May 11th at 6:45pm. If the weather is good, it will be held outside, otherwise in the gym.

7th and 8th grade choir concert is Thursday, May14th. 8th grade is at 6:30, and 7th grade is at 7:30.

Give Sports...Put a Kid in the Game
Starting May 12th and going until the end of the year we will be collecting new and gently used sports equipment for children living in poverty right here in Colorado. Your donations give children the chance to get involved in sports! Anything that you can give can be brought to school and will be collected in a bin in the large gym. Thank you for your help and for putting a kid in the game!

The reward party for all 6th and 7th grade students who participated in the Spring Fundraiser will be on Wednesday, May 13th from 1:15-2:15 PM.

The limo ride for those students who earned it will also be on Wednesday, May 13th from 12-1:00 PM. Permission slips were sent home on Wednesday, May 6th and Thursday, May 7th. Students may NOT go without a signed permission slip!

The last day for Ram Time which is library being available before and after school for this school year is Friday, May 15th. Ram Time will return in the fall.

This is the last reminder to pay for Spring Portraits.

2. Log in with your Portrait ID and Access Code, which is on your portrait package insert.
3. Please return unpurchased portraits to your school.

If your student is interested in traveling to Washington DC as an 8th grader next year and you were unable to attend the Introductory meeting, please visit the school website under the “Students” tab and then “Clubs and Activities” link then to “Washington DC Trip” link or contact Mr. Smith for all trip and registration information.

Estos son los anuncios para la semana del 11 de mayo:

Todos los libros de matemáticas  de septimo y octavo grado tienen que ser devuelto a los maestros de matemáticas. Por favor recuerde a su hijo a volver el libro tan pronto como sea posible. Libros perdidos o dañados tendrná una multa de $80. Si usted tiene alguna pregunta, por favor hable con el maestro de matemáticas de su estudiante.

Todos los libros de la biblioteca tienen que ser devueltos a la biblioteca tan pronto como sea posible. Por favor recuerde a su hijo.

La feria del libros es el lunes 11 de mayo, martes 12 de mayo y el miércoles 13 de mayo, en la biblioteca de la escuela. Compre uno y llévese un libro gratis. La feria del libros estará abierta desde las 8:30 am hasta las 4:00 PM. Ven y encontren algunos libros para leer durante el verano.

Las bandas de jazz de séptimo y octavo grado tendran su concierto el lunes 11 de mayo a las 6:45 pm. Si el tiempo es bueno, se llevará a cabo afuera. Si no, se llevará a cabo en el gimnasio.

El concierto de coro del séptimo y octavo grado es el jueves 14 de mayo. El concierto de octavo grado es a las 6:30, y el séptimo grado es a las 7:30.

A partir el 12 de mayo y hasta el final del año escolar estaremos colectando equipamiento deportivo nuevo y usado para los niños que viven de bajos ingresos aquí en Colorado. Sus donaciones dan a los niños la oportunidad de participar en los deportes! Cualquier cosa que usted puede dar se puede traer a la escuela. Gracias por su ayuda y por poner un niño en el juego!

La fiesta de la recompensa para todos los estudiantes del sexto y septimo grado que participaron en la recaudación de fondos de primavera se llevará a cabo el miércoles 13 de mayo de 1: 15-2: 15 PM.

El paseo en limusina para aquellos estudiantes que lo ganaron será el miércoles 13 de mayo del mediodia hasta la una de la tarde. Los autorizaciónes fueron enviados a casa el miércoles 6 de mayo y el jueves 7 de mayo. Los estudiantes no pueden ir sin la autorizacion firmada!

El último día para Ram Time donde la biblioteca está disponible antes y después de la escuela es el viernes, 15 de mayo. Volverá en el otoño.

El martes 26 de mayo es el último día para los estudiantes del octavo grado
No hay clases el martes 26 de mayo para los estudiantes del sexto y septimo grado.
El miércoles 27 de mayo es el último día los del sexto y séptimo grado . Asisten de las 8: 30 hasta el mediodia.
El miércoles 27 de mayo termina el semestre.
