Week of April 27th

Hello Shadow Ridge Parents and Guardians!
Here are the announcements for the week of April 27th:

End of the year PARCC testing schedule:
6th Grade: Monday, April 27th and Tuesday, April 28th
8th Grade: Thursday, April 30th and Friday, May 1st
7th Grade: Monday, May 4th and Tuesday, May 5th
Parents please do not schedule any appointments during our testing times. Students be sure to get plenty of rest the night before, eat a healthy breakfast and be on time for school. Happy Testing!

If your student is participating in Battle of the Books this year, there will be one last practice next week before the final competition in May. We will go through another round of practice questions and discuss the specifics of the final competition. Snacks will be provided.

Location: Classroom C214 (Miss David's room)
Time: 3:50 - 4:20

STUDENTS, MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! THE FINAL SRMS SPRING DANCE WILL BE FRIDAY MAY 1st DIRECTLY AFTER SCHOOL FROM 4 TO 6 PM. WE WILL HAVE THE SCHOOL STORE OPENED, POPCORN FOR SALE, RAFFLES EVERY 30 MINUTES FOR STUDENTS TO WIN PRIZES, TODAY’S HIT PLAYING IN THE GYM, ETC... THE COST WILL BE $5.

The 7th, 8th grade and Jazz band concert scheduled for Tuesday, May 12th has been rescheduled. The new date is Monday, May 11th. The start time is still at 6:45. A note with more details will be handed out to band students this week.

Sexto Grado: lunes 27 de abril y el martes, 28 de abril
Octavo Grado: jueves 30 de abril y el viernes 1 de mayo
Septimo Grado: lunes 4 de mayo y el martes 5 de mayo
Padres, por favor de no programan las citas durante estos tiempos de pruebas. Los estudiantes que asegúresen de descansar lo suficiente la noche anterior, comen un desayuno saludable y llegan a escuela a tiempo.

Si su hijo está participando en la Batalla de los Libros este año, habrá la última práctica la próxima semana para preparar para la competencia en mayo. Vamos a prácticar para la competencia y recibir los detalles de la competición. Se proporcionarán aperitivos.

Estudiantes, marquen sus calendarios!! El ultimo baile será el viernes primero de mayo inmediatamente despues de la escuela de las 4 hasta las 6pm. Tendremos la tienda de la escuela abierta, palomitas en venta, rifas cada 30 minutos, y éxitos de hoy tocando en el gimnasio. El costo será $ 5.

El concierto de la banda jazz y del séptimo y octavo grado que iba ser para el martes 12 de mayo ha sido reprogramado. La nueva fecha es el lunes 11 de mayo a las 6:45pm. Una nota con más detalles se entregarán a los estudiantes de banda esta semana.
