Week of April 14th

Hello Shadow Ridge Parents and Guardians!
Here are the announcements for the week of April 14th

"How to Hide Your Zombies" performances are April 17th, 18th and 19th at 7pm in the Cafetorium. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students with IDs. Children under 5 and Adams 12 employees free.

CMAS (science) testing for 8th grade will take place on April 14th, 15th, 16th, 21st and 22nd. CMAS (social studies) testing for 7th grade will take place on April 22nd, 25th, 28th, 29th and 30th. Parents, please do not schedule any appointments on these days. Students, be sure to get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and be on time every day.

Our next Saturday School will be Saturday April 19th, from 9am until noon in the school library.

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is Thursday, April 24th. Your student will be bringing home the form that will need to be completed if he/she is participating. You can also find the form on our website. Please complete the form and return it to the main office.

Attention, all 7th grade students interested in travelling to Washington D.C. next year as an 8th grader. There will be an introductory meeting on Tuesday April 29th at 6:00 pm in the Shadow Ridge Library. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Smith.

RAMS RECOVERY TIME – Help us help your child and improve his/her academic achievement. Teachers will be available the first, second, and third Wednesday of the month from 2:20-3:00 p.m. in individual classrooms for assessment make-ups and help. Transportation will not be provided. Students will need to make transportation arrangements with their parents/guardians.

RAM Time offers students a quiet place to work on homework as well as have access to computers to complete assignments. It is located in the library on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays before school 7:30-8:15 and after school 3:35-4:45.

Box Tops for Education and Campbell's Soup Labels can bring in money for Shadow Ridge Middle School!!! Anytime you find either Box Tops for Education or Campbell's soup labels on various products at home in your cupboard, pantry or refrigerator, clip or tear these off and send them to school with your child. There is a box in our school office where students and parents can drop them off. Thanks for your participation!

Remember if you shop, eat or see a movie at the Orchard bring your receipts in to the office and we will take them to the Orchard for you. We will return your receipts to you. Shadow Ridge receives 5 points for every $1.00 spent. At the end of the school year we will earn a share of $15,000 which will be used to purchase items for student and classroom use.

Estos son los anuncios para la semana del 14 de abril:

Las actuaciones "Cómo Esconder Sus Zombies" se llevará a cabo el 17, 18 y 19 de abril a las 7pm en la cafetería de la escuela. Los boletos cuestan $5 para adultos y $3 para estudiantes con su cordón de identificación. Los niños menores de 5 años y los empleados del distrito Adams 12 son gratis.

CMAS tambien representa las pruebas de séptimo grado de estudios sociales que se llevará a cabo el 22, 25, 28, 29 y 30 de abril. Padres, por favor no haga citas en estos días. Pedimos que los estudiantes duermen bien la noche anterior , que comen un desayuno saludable y que llegan a tiempo a escuela.

Nuestro próximo escuela de sábado   será el sábado 19 de abril, de las 9am hasta el mediodía, en la biblioteca de la escuela.

El día de “llevar a su hijo o hija a su trabajo” es el jueves, 24 de abril. Su estudiante va a traer a casa el formulario que deberá ser completado si el o ella está participando. También puede encontrar el formulario en nuestra página web. Por favor, completa el formulario y devolverlo a la oficina principal.

Atención, estudiantes del septimo grado interesados ​​en viajar a Washington DC para el próximo año. Habrá una junta con una presentación el martes 29 de abril a las 6pm en la biblioteca de la escuela. Si usted tiene alguna pregunta por favor póngase en contacto con el Sr. Smith.

Este es un TIEMPO DE RECUPERACIÓN- Ayúdanos, a ayudar a los estudiantes a mejorar su rendimiento académico. Los maestros estarán disponibles el primer, segundo y tercer miércoles de cada mes de las 2:20pm-3:00pm en sus salones para retomar examenes o cualquier otra pregunta. Cada vez que te encuentras un Box Tops para la Educación o las etiquetas de sopa Campbell en varios productos, por favor de cortar las eitquetas y envíanlos a la escuela con su hijo. Hay una caja en nuestra oficina principal donde pueden colocarlos. Gracias por su participación!

Recuerde que si usted hace compras o come o ve una película en el Orchard Town Center trae sus recibos a la oficina principal. Nosotros llevaremos los recibos al Orchard. Luego regresamos los recibos. La escuela recibe 5 puntos por cada $1 gastado. Al final del año escolar, vamos a ganar una parte de $15,000 que será utilizado para comprar artículos que los estudiantes usarán en la clase. Ayudanos ganar un parte de ese dinero.
