Hello Shadow Ridge Parents and Guardians!
Here are the announcements for the week of December 23rd
Winter Break is from Monday, December 23rd through Friday, January 3rd
No School Monday, January 6th (In Common Release Day).
All students return to school on Tuesday, January 7th.
If your child has advanced to the school spelling bee, please go to the Shadow Ridge website and click on the "Parents" link at the left hand side of the page. Under that link, you will find a link for the practice spelling words. The Shadow Ridge Spelling Bee will be held on January 16 at 6:00 pm in the Shadow Ridge Middle School cafetorium.
Give Kids a Smile Day is a day organized by the Colorado Dental Association every February.
To qualify for a Give Kids a Smile Day appointment, your child/family must meet ALL 5 of the following criteria.
1. The child needing an appointment must be 17 years old or younger.
2. Your family must be low-income and unable to afford dental care.
3. Your child must be dentally uninsured (no dental insurance or
CHP+ coverage).
4. You must have transportation to get to your appointment.
5. You must be able to show-up at your appointment on time.
If you are a match with the 5 requirements above, we welcome you to
participate in Give Kids a Smile Day. Please remember that appointments
are first-come, first-served. When making an appointment, please say
that you are "calling to make an appointment for Give Kids a Smile Day."
Make an appointment in January at: www.cdaonline.org/gkaspatient
Remember if you shop, eat or see a movie at the Orchard bring your receipts in to the office and we will take them to the Orchard for you. We will return your receipts to you. Shadow Ridge receives 5 points for every $1.00 spent. At the end of the school year we will earn a share of $15,000 which will be used to purchase items for student and classroom use.

No hay clases el lunes, 6 de enero. Todos los estudiantes regresan a la escuela el martes, 07 de enero.
Si su hijo ha avanzado al concurso de ortografía de la escuela, por favor visite el sitio web de la escuela y haga clic en el enlace de "Padres" en el lado izquierdo de la página. Encontrará un enlace de las palabras de ortografía práctica. El Concurso de Ortografía se llevará a cabo el 16 de enero a las 6:00 pm en la cafetería de la escuela.
Give Kids a Smile Day es organizada por la Asociación Dental de Colorado cada febrero.
Para calificar para Give Kids a Smile Day su hijo y familia debe cumplir con todos los siguientes criterios.
1. El niño que necesita una cita debe tener 17 años de edad o menos.
2. Su familia debe ser de bajos ingresos y no pueden pagar por la atención dental.
3. Su hijo no tiene seguro dental o CHP +.
4. Debe tener transporte para llegar a su cita.
5. Usted llegara a su cita a tiempo.
Por favor, recuerde que es por orden de llegada. Cuando haga una cita, favor de decir que está llamando para hacer una cita para Give Kids a Smile Day.

Recuerde que si usted hace compras o come o ve una película en el Orchard Town Center trae sus recibos a la oficina principal. Nosotros llevaremos los recibos al Orchard. Luego regresamos los recibos. La escuela recibe 5 puntos por cada $ 1 gastado. Al final del año escolar, vamos a ganar una parte de $15,000 que será utilizado para comprar artículos para los estudiantes. Ayudanos ganar un parte de los $15000.
